There have been multiple people calling and speaking with us about
allowing their children to participate in the training process.
We encourage children's participation in this process. Children
are the ones who interact with the dogs the most. Also, if a dog
knows that the children are in control the social structure of the pack is
enforced (i.e. the dog knows it's at the bottom).
There are some considerations before committing your child to the
training process.
- How old is your child?
- What is the size of the dog in comparison to the child?
- Is your child willing to listen and work with the dog daily?
- Does your child have patience?
- Does your child want to train?
