Puppy and Breed Selection Services
The first part of puppy ownership is understanding your
breed. Not all books tell you everything about a breed for instance -
Australian Cattle Dogs are "wary of strangers" but does this mean they are
aggressive? Protective? Shy? Before you decide on a breed
speak with a trainer about the different characteristics and which will suit
you best. Can recommend breeders when you decide on the breed.
Fees: $20 phone consultation or $50 at home evaluation
Puppy Preschool - Age 6 weeks to 6 months
Puppy hood can be a trying experience and if not handled
properly could lead to an unruly adolescent. Learn the basics in puppy
training and begin to socialize your puppy to other dogs. Training
includes housebreaking, sit, down, walk nicely on a leash, come when called,
watch me, how to avoid chewing inappropriate items,
and other training difficulties that arise. This combined with
socialization of playing with other dogs, increase self-confidence learning
tricks, running through tunnels, jumping hoops, and other mentally
stimulating games.
This is a 1-1/2 hour consultation to ensure you start the
puppy's new home off on the right foot. $100 for the lesson and
includes paperwork.
Basic Obedience - beginning at 6 months of age
Instructors will teach 12 behaviors in order to establish
communication and a working relationship with your dog. Training
includes: sit, down, sit from front, down from front, come, off, loose leash
walk, heel, watch me, come, stay and wait. Includes how to crate
train, housebreak, and other training issues that may arise during the
course of training.
Two different training services
Training at your home: 5 week course $450 and 7 week
course $625. The trainer will come to your home and teach you how to
train your dog.
Training at our offices: 3 week course where
the dog remains with the trainer for 3 weeks and all 12 commands are taught,
along with door manners, housebreaking, and proper table manners. Call

Agility Training - beginning at 10 months of age
Field is currently being refurbished, training will begin
later this year.
Off Leash Training
Dog must have already passed a basic obedience course or be
deemed at a level to participate in further advanced behaviors. Will
work on border training, the long sit and down stays, retrieval of dumb
bell, formal recall, and heeling without a leash.
Fees: 5 week course is $450.00 - currently not offered
in group classes
Unwanted/Abnormal Behaviors
Please look at the

Consultation Page. Not all dogs with unwanted behaviors must
complete a full obedience class, an evaluation of the dog is first required.
