I became interested in dog training when I was 15 years old and adopted an Australian Cattle Dog from the local Humane Society, who turned out to be very dog aggressive.  I spent 8 years training and rehabilitating her. She was the most well behaved dog I ever owned.  During this time I became intrigued with the behavioral problems in canines, however, finishing my degree in Physics waylaid my true calling.  After 10 years as a manager in a major oil firm, I decided it was time to come home to follow my heart ...training animals.  I left Scotland where I had been showing my Cattle Dog in both Agility and Conformation and arrived back home to Riverside, California. 

I then studied at the Animal Behavior Center of New York working with dog training and abnormal behaviors.  This included a Rottie with possessive and dominance aggression, a fear aggressive Chihuahua, and  many other dogs with abnormal behaviors.   I became certified with the Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors as an Associate Canine Behavior Counselor, and have been practicing under the business, Total Canine Solutions.  I currently compete in  Conformation, Agility, and Obedience with a look towards herding trials when I can find the time. Yes, my neighbors probably say it, and my family does say it....I am the crazy dog lady.
